Remote access

We would like to remind you that  KAAFM employees and students can access some of the electronic resources not only in the University library but also from home. All you need to do is to have an active library account and a registration card, which you can find in the Main Reading Room or in the Library Rental. During the off-campus period (COVID-2019) you can send a scan or photo of a completed registration card to the email address (If you do not have an active library account, please contact your Library Rental).

The service is free of charge.

The following full-text databases are available for remote access:

EBSCO, including: Academic Source Ultimate, Business Source Ultimate, DynaMed, e-book Collection, Medline Complete, PsycARTICLES, Scientific & Medical ART Imagebase (per calendar year) – multibranch

MEDLINE Complete – provides information on general medicine, health protection, pharmacology, neurology, molecular biology, genetics, genomics, histology, microbiology and many other areas of medical sciences. MEDLINE Complete indexes more than 5400 (including about 2300 full text magazines) medical and biomedical magazines with archives since 1857.

DynaMed Plus –the source of medical information based on evidence (Evidence Based Medicine) useful when making clinical decisions. It contains objective analyses by world-class experts, who regularly review all newly published articles and studies to verify their quality.

SMART Imagebase Scientific & Medical ART – the collection of downloadable illustrations (over 24 000) and medical animation (over 1200) as well as colouring pages (100), created by Nucleus Medical Art. The materials in the collection refer to 45 layouts and body regions as well as 20 medical specializations. The content is scientifically reviewed by specialists and medical experts. Over one hundred of the most popular illustrations in anatomy and physiology have been translated into 13 languages, including Polish.

• Wiley Online Library (for employees – per academic year, for students – during the off-campus period, not longer than the academic year) – multibranch.
   

These include specialized publications on i.a.: medicine and related sciences, psychology, information technology, architecture, economics, law, finance and management, security, and many other disciplines.

We also offer access to interdisciplinary bibliographic and abstract databases:

• Scopus (per academic year) – i.a. tracking citations, Hirsch index check (index h)
• Web of Science (for six months; to prolong the access for another half year you should sign in to your college account before the expiry period) – i.a. tracking citations, Hirsch index check and Journal Impact Factor index (JIF).
